Week 6: West Virginia
My name is: Amanda Reed
Right now I’m sitting: in my office
My family includes: My husband of almost ten years Gale, my daughter Lydia and my son Gale Reed III
What inspires me is: God’s creation. Everyday I just pray that he would give me his vision as I do my part to capture the beauty he has put into every living thing.
The photographer who most inspires me would be: Seniors make up the biggest percent of my market; so I look to Teri Fode for inspiration as well as Becker and my friend Shelley of As I See It Photography in Canada.
When hanging out online you will usually find me: myspace, its the best networking tool I have found.
The first thing I crave in the morning is: A diet Pepsi
Don’t tell anyone that I love: New Kids on the Block…have you heard about the reunion tour? My best friend of 24 years recently admitted that she lifted my NKOTB cassette when were ten. The horror.
To me “beautiful” is: my children and seeing the world through their eyes. Everything is new again.
This year’s purchases MUST include: A speedlight, a new monitor, big screen for proofing, the list just goes on.
My guilty pleasure is: getting my hair done….yea I know its crazy but I usually spend my extra cash on my kids, like they need anything else. So when I actually do something for me I do feel a little guilty.
If I had $500 to spend on myself today, I would buy: I need a vacation so I would most likely deposit it on a reservation at the beach.
I think my best feature: my eyes
I am addicted to: Everyone in my family knows I have a sock fetish. Warm, fuzzy, patterned as long as it’s socks. At Christmas Im an easy buy, when all else fails get socks.
